Cities Cup:

Maximum 72 players on Foursome, two balls, alternate shots format.
Teams are formed by players under the condition that participants should live in the same town or city. If there are two players from a country different than Romania, they can represent their country in the team competition.

CONDITIONS

1. Dress code: Black Tie is required for all participants at Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
2. Romanian Golf Open “BMW – Crystal Cup” shall be decided over 36 holes Strokeplay Net which shall be played in accordance with the rules of golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and in accordance with the local Rules approved by the Tournament Committee.
3. The handicap will not be changed during the two days of the competition.
4. 72 competitors shall be eligible to compete. Entries will be limited to 72 competitors by first come, first served rule. All unsuccessful entrants will be informed without delay thereafter.
5. All competitors must be 16 years old and over.
6. The Romanian Golf Open “BMW – Crystal Cup” competitors who tie for the first place shall play a hole by hole (sudden death) play-off to determine the winner. All other ties shall be decided by a card play-off over the final 18 holes or last 9, 6, 3 holes or last hole. If there is still a tie, the scores for the first round shall be treated in the same way until a decision is reached.
7. Any competitor who is not present at their first Tee when called upon to start shall be disqualified.
8. Players shall walk at all times during a stipulated round.
9. A competitor shall not knowingly make use of any drug to enhance his performance. Should a competitor show clinical evidence of use of drug for a non therapeutic purpose, the Committee may require him to undergo a drug test. Any competitor infringing this condition may be disqualified. Smoking and drinking alcohol on the course is strictly prohibited.
10. The Championship Committee reserves the right to vary the Championship Conditions if it is necessary.
11. Entrants must conform in all respects to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by R&A Rules Limited and sign the declaration in the entry form to that effect.
12. The Championship Committee reserves the right to disqualify any competitor making a false statement on his entry form.
13. The completed and signed entry form must be received by SDK Management office not later than Friday, 16th of September 2011.
14. All disputes must be referred to the Head Referee who will resolve them by use of the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. If it is not possible to resolve a dispute, the Head Referee will place it before the Championship and Rules Committee and its decision shall be final.
